To meet the needs of our ever changing industry, a team of nearly 160 highly qualified staff work to achieve the highest standards of excellence in breeding, seed technology, production, customer service and delivery.
For 168 years, Benary’s breeding activities have developed some of the leading annuals, perennials, potted flowering plants and cut flowers. Known worldwide as a leader in Begonias, both tuberous and fibrous, Benary’s wide assortment of more than 900 items includes some of the industries’ most sought after varieties in Celosia, Pansy, Pentas and Rudbeckia, to name just a few. Our long histroy as a family owned business has allowed us to live our passion for breeding and focus on the time honored traditions of beauty this industry has given.
Our professional quality products are offered to growers through a wide network of distributors and brokers around the world. Benary maintains plant breeding stations in Germany, Austria and Netherlands. An in-house in vitro laboratory also supports the work of the plant breeders.

Pansies, Impatiens, Petunia, Rudbeckia, Tagetes and FastraX-Perennials.
Among the company’s best-known specialties are the famous tuberous and fibrous begonias which the company started to breed as far back as the 19th century.
Today the Benary product range is comprised of some 2000 items, including 190 F1 hybrids in 15 different genera and species.

Every year we put about twenty new items on the market that can be complete series of a species or additional new varieties to already existing cultivar.
