On December 17, 1966, Caribbean Chemicals began operations in Abercomby Street, Port of Spain, to distribute agricultural products to service the needs of the farmers in Trinidad & Tobago. Over the years, the company has grown steadily and now employs over 190 persons and, along with its associated companies, generates annual sales of approximately $100 million.

From its inception, Joe Sr. and Angelica Pires instilled in the company a sense of purpose and dedication that has served it well in its history. Mindful of this, the company strives to maintain its business while providing goods and services of the highest quality supplied in a manner that cannot be questioned.

The company’s dedication to its customers is legendary and the thoughtfulness and honesty with which it conducts its business with both customers and suppliers, has rebounded in a most positive way throughout history. The company today represents on an exclusive basis some of the most prestigious names worldwide in the agricultural and industrial chemicals industry.
