Fresh Quest is on a mission to bring produce from Central America into the US. Primarily dealing in melons (cantaloupe, watermelon, and honey dew), the company grows fruits and vegetables on farms in Honduras and Guatemala and distributes its products throughout North America. The company’s other products include peaches, plums, grapes, mangoes, nectarines, cucumbers, and asparagus. Fresh Quest was founded in 1993.

The company delivers fresh product to the North American market between November and March. The company has sales and distribution operations on both coasts thus assuring the highest level of customer service and response time. Fresh Quest takes pride in our ability to deliver small company service while ranking amongst the largest suppliers in the industry.

Fresh Quest Produce was formed in 1993, from a desire to market and provide consistent supplies of quality import melons during U.S. production gaps.

Initially, Fresh Quest Produce sourced these supplies from existing growers within Central America. As Fresh Quest Produce evolved, our objective intensified from simply providing consistent supplies into actually controlling those supplies. Fresh Quest Produce became a grower/shipper, in addition to marketer.

Investments were made in Honduras by Fresh Quest Produce for tractors, implements, drip irrigation systems and people to produce the crops. Additional investments by Fresh Quest Produce were made in packing lines, sizers, graders and forced air coolers to insure Fresh Quest Produce was able to pack and ship only the highest quality standards.

Fresh Quest Produce takes a keen interest in not only the quality we are shipping, but also in the integrity of the product we ship as it relates to food safety. As a farm-direct-to-you supplier, we are able to personally inspect the product prior to shipping, making sure it’s up to your requirements and high expectations. Major capital investments have been made in product washers, equipment sanitizers, and employee training as well as in the implementation of internal food safety audits and controls.

In early 2002, Fresh Quest Produce’s Honduran and Guatemalan production and facilities were HACCP certified by Scientific Certification Systems of Oakland, California.
