Rijk Zwaan is a totally independent family business with employee participation. 86% of the shares are in the hands of three families and 14% of the capital is in the hands of employees in the form of share certificates.
Rijk Zwaan has a workforce of about 1,900; less than half this number work at its Dutch locations in De Lier and Fijnaart. With a very broad base, with 1.000 varieties in approximately 30 different vegetable crops.
